Our story began in 2016........
a simple Facebook friendship that blossomed into something truly divine. We started as friends, connecting through chats and check-ins that soon became a comforting part of our everyday lives. At the time, she was still in school, and I was working. After a while, I went for my master's program in Russia, yet we both made time to nurture our friendship. Most of our conversations then were through messages rather than calls, but every word we shared strengthened the bond between us.
Over the years, our friendship grew deeper. We encouraged each other, shared dreams, and supported one another through life’s different seasons. What started as casual conversations slowly became something more meaningful — a connection that neither time nor distance could weaken.
Then came 2024 — the year everything changed. After years of friendship, we both felt a strong nudge in our hearts to seek God’s direction about our relationship. Through prayers, revelations, and scriptures, it became clear that we were meant to be together. God confirmed in so many ways that our union was part of His divine plan.
That same year, after eight years of friendship, she visited me for the very first time. Our meeting was nothing short of remarkable — a beautiful reminder of how patient love truly blossoms in God’s time. During her visit, we shared beautiful moments together: exploring new places, laughing endlessly, and cherishing every second spent side by side. It was during that visit that I proposed, and she said yes! That moment marked the beginning of our forever — a day filled with joy, gratitude, and God’s presence. It was one of the happiest days of our lives, and a memory we will always treasure.
After she returned home, our love continued to grow even stronger. Our communication moved beyond text messages — we now had countless video calls, movie nights, and game nights. We prayed, fasted, and studied God’s Word together. We even shopped online and tried new recipes together — proving that love knows no distance when God is at the center. In 2025, she visited again, and this time our bond became even stronger. Every moment together reminded us of God’s faithfulness and the beauty of waiting on His perfect timing.
Now, as we prepare to tie the knot, our hearts are full of gratitude. Our journey has been nothing short of grace — a testimony of love built on friendship, faith, and divine purpose. Truly, it is by His mercies that we have come this far, and we know that the same God who started this beautiful story will continue to write the best chapters ahead.

Adeoye and I became friends on Facebook back in 2016. Our parents had been family friends for many years, and they played a part in reconnecting us. At the time, Adeoye was studying in Russia, and I had just started my first year of pharmacy school. Because of the distance between us, I didn’t see the possibility of a relationship. Still, we stayed in touch — talking once in a while and getting to know each other little by little.
Over time, I began to realize how much we had in common — especially our shared values and faith. What started as a simple friendship gradually grew into something deeper. As the months went by, and after much prayer, I became certain that he was God’s plan for me.
It’s not always easy for me to express my feelings, but with him, it comes naturally. He’s my best friend — someone I can talk to freely and be completely myself around. I love that he’s easy-going, more outspoken than I am, and most importantly, a man of faith.
Looking back, I’m so grateful that God brought our paths together in such a beautiful way. What began as a Facebook friendship has blossomed into a lifelong partnership built on love, faith, and true friendship.
